Talks on collaboration between the two institutions and joint research on accelerated iterative methods.

Associate Professor Dr. Vahid Darvish of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology (NUIST), China, an expert in variational inequalities, equilibrium problems, fixed point problems and optimization, visited the Department of Mathematics, Chiang Mai University, on 27–28 August 2026.

He met the head of the department to discuss collaboration between the two institutions and held in-depth research discussions with faculty, researchers and graduate students on accelerated iterative methods, variational inequalities, fixed point problems and their use in optimization for big data prediction. The visit also included Lanna culture at Wat Phra That Doi Suthep.
