Workshop for researchers, lecturers, and students to practice and use mathematical models for preventing non-communicable diseases.
Objectives
- Create posters and media to concisely and attractively communicate research essentials.
- Present and demonstrate the prototype application to participants (students, faculty, health personnel, and the public).
- Provide brief training on application usage through live demonstrations and guidebooks.
- Collect feedback and satisfaction levels to improve the application and plan future research.
- Build collaboration networks and research awareness with target agencies and communities.
Rationale
Thailand faces a massive healthcare budget burden. WHO identifies NCDs as a major threat, with over 300,000 annual deaths in Thailand (73% of total deaths), primarily due to urban lifestyle health behaviors.
The COE team developed "Hypertension Predictor," a Math-AI app using Machine Learning for immediate screening. We aim to communicate its benefits and usage to the general public for real-world impact.
This project produces posters and infographics to simplify Math-AI development steps and application benefits for end-users.
